Ecstatica originated on the crystal shores of Koh Phangan, Thailand, in 2017, and quickly evolved into a vibrant festival attracting a global community. As its popularity and scope expanded, Ecstatica found a new home at Ängsbacka in 2024. Now, we are proud to announce Ecstatica’s return to Ängsbacka in 2025—extended to five full days—providing even more time to immerse, explore, and dive deeper into the festival’s transformative experiences.

Latin dance will take center stage every day at Ecstatica 2025, bringing the fiery rhythms and soulful expressions of Zouk and Bachata to life. These sessions are an invitation to connect with your sensuality, flow, and inner vitality. These vibrant dances offer a unique space to explore connection, presence, and self-expression, enriching your journey of embodiment and discovery throughout the festival.
At the Ecstatica Festival, a variety of breathwork modalities will be featured, empowering individuals through transformative, science-backed Pranayama techniques. During the event, expert facilitators from diverse breathwork traditions will come together to offer workshops representing a broad spectrum of approaches. At the heart of the festival’s mission is creating an inclusive community that encourages open dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collective growth for all participants immersed in these experiences.
Throughout the festival, you’ll be provided with opportunities to explore a variety of embodied movement practices. These holistic practices seamlessly integrate the mind, body, and spirit. Glamping at Ängsbacka gives a unique touch to your festival experience! Last year’s trial run booked out in no time, take the chance to apply for one of the limited spots in our nature-oriented alternative to indoor accommodation or bringing your own tent.
Our Glamping tents are placed on wooden platfors in one of Ängsbacka’s most scenic spots with the forest at your back and overlooking open fields. Each tent comes equipped with a proper 160×200 cm bed, duvets, pillows and other homey details to enhance your experience. We are offering the possibility to charge your phone or similar in the HUB in the festival area, the tent itself does not have electricity or heating installed.
Via the form below you register your interest in booking a Glamping tent, please note that you need to be a minimum of two adults to apply. The tents are designed to comfortably fit two people but it is possible to add one or maximum two mattresses on the floor at an additional cost.
Tristan Gorski, the visionary behind Ecstatic Dance Koh Phangan, calls the serene island his creative hub. His journey is shaped by a love for conscious dance, sparked during his DJing days in the underground rave scene in the late 1900s. The relentless nights and corporate burnout led to a pause in his DJing career in 2003. Years later, he rediscovered his passion for DJing and conscious movement at a Tantra Festival. Today, Tristan’s diverse DJ sets create spaces for inner exploration and connection, blending rhythms and soulful sounds. His experience in tantra and shamanic practices enriches his transformative music and dance. Globetrotting as a DJ, Tristan’s journey reflects how music and conscious movement helped him overcome an addictive and destructive lifestyle, inspiring transformations worldwide.
Niraj Naik, known as the Renegade Pharmacist, is a certified UK pharmacist who transformed into a holistic wellness expert, brain-training enthusiast, and a globally sought-after spiritual ceremony facilitator. His remarkable journey began during a challenging phase of corporate burnout, leading to a year of debilitating chronic illness. Remarkably, he healed himself through the practice of Breathwork and dietary adjustments, inspiring his mission to share this wisdom with others. Today, Niraj leads a thriving global breathwork community and trains numerous breathwork experts using his SOMA breath framework, which is widely adopted in wellness centers worldwide, with training centers spanning Europe, the USA, and Asia. In this masterclass, Niraj offers a magical guided experience of his top-rated breathwork technique, enabling you to rediscover your path to vibrant health and well-being.
Nadine Edstrand, program coordinator for Ecstatica Sweden and co-creator of Ecstatic Dance Journey and The Journey festival Stockholm, is dedicated to bringing the vibrant island spirit of Koh Phangan to the Swedish north.
As a Dj, yoga teacher, movement facilitator and Authentic Relating advocate, Nadine inspires genuine self-expression and heart-to-heart connections within a community centered around dance and play.
Driven by passion and an unwavering belief in every individual’s right to dance, Nadine enthusiastically curates the Ecstatica program for the second year in a row.
